Holidays at the "Shepherds Barn" give you the opportunity of a unique activity holiday, the art of sheepdog handling that can be tailored to suit your own individual needs.

Have a try at working with the intelligent Border Collies, or simply watch them working the sheep or ducks!!

Thomas is an authority on the subject and has written a book on ‘Training the Sheep Dog’. His gentle coaching soon gets the respect of the dogs however unfamiliar they are to him; he is renown for training champion trial dogs.

Workshops for the trailing enthusiasts offer training per group of people staying with up to 8 dogs per group, this training course is suited to beginners, intermediate and advance simultaneously.

For those who stay in the shepherds barn;  one to one tuition with their dog/s then the price of a session would be £10.00 and this will be tailored to your dogs individuals needs.

Thomas holds sheepdog trials at Lee End farm at different times throughout the year.

Your stay at the Shepherds Barn gives you the opportunity to watch Thomas work and train his working dogs and times are available should you wish to spectate.

This rare opportunity also gives you the chance to work one of Thomas’s dogs yourself and live the thrill and excitement of handling a working border collie to bring the sheep from the meadows, as you will be under the supervision of Thomas no experience is necessary.
